Breakaway Directors
Dave Snuggerud Right-winger Dave Snuggerud played with three different teams during his four years NHL tenure in the 80s and 90s. He was a diligent checker who could produce offensively as well. Born in Minnetonka, Minnesota, Snuggerud starred in the USHL and was the captain for the University of Minnesota gophers. He also spent time with the US national team and represented his country at the 1988 Calgary Olympics and the 1989 World Championships. In 1989 he was named to the WCHA second all-star team after scoring 29 goals in 45 games for the Golden Gophers. Chosen first overall by the Sabres in the 1987 Supplemental Draft, Dave also played for the San Jose Sharks and Philadelphia Flyers before before retiring. Dave is currently teaching middle school in the Wayzata School District and has owned and operated Breakaway Hockey for 25 years.
Andy Brink State Golf Open Champion, Andy Brink, graduated from Bemidji High School in 1992. He attended the University of Minnesota on a hockey and golf scholarship (1993-1996). During his time there, he participated in the Pro Golf Mini Tour and played on the 1994 USA Jr Hockey Team. Brink now works as an experienced instructor and coach for youth hockey players and has run Breakaway Hockey for the past 10 years.

Jeff Metzler is currently teaching middle level students in the Wayzata School district. Students love his classroom and athletes love his training methods!
Tim Clark Certified strength and conditioning specialist, Tim Clark, develops high school and college athletes from across the Metro area. He is a Professional member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Pictured with Parker Reno and Hudson Fasching.

Zach Wilkinson As a high school hockey player Zach Wilkinson was a 3-year letter winner, hockey captain, and received honorable mention in 2009-2010 Lake Conference Hockey. After graduating, Wilkinson played 1 year of junior hockey with the Alexandria Blizzards (NAHL) and the Minnesota Flying Aces (MNSHL). He is now attending the University of Minnesota College of Science and Engineering.
Blaine Rutledge Past 3-year letter winner and high school hockey team captain. Rutledge graduated with a degree in sociology from University of Central Missouri, where he was a 2 time All American baseball player. He now attends Minnesota State University and studies elementary education.
Bryan Giordano In high school Giordano was a 3-year letter winner, 3-time All Conference, and team captain. He continued to play hockey at St. Olaf College and recently graduated with a degree in biology.
Andrew Swan 3-year high school letter-winner and All-Conference hockey player Andrew Swan was team Captain his senior year. He continues to play hockey at Gustavus Adolphus College, where he is studying mathematics.
