Right-winger Dave Snuggerud played with three different teams during his four years NHL tenure in the 80s and 90s. He was a diligent checker who could produce offensively as well.
Born in Minnetonka, Minnesota, Snuggerud starred in the junior USHL and the University of Minnesota for three years. He also spent time with the US national team and represented his country at the 1988 Calgary Olympics and the 1989 World Championships. In 1989 he was also named to the WCHA second all-star team after scoring 29 goals in 45 games for the Golden Gophers.
Chosen first overall by the Sabres in the 1987 Supplemental Draft, Snuggerud scored 14 goals and was an energetic addition as a rookie in 1989-90. Dave also played for the San Jose Sharks and Philadelphia Flyers before before retiring.
