Breakaway Hockey and Glen Lake Golf Course Teaching Professional, Ty Armstrong, have partnered to train athletes in a great sporting experience! Improve your hockey and golf skills. Join the great Minnesota tradition of being a hockey player and a golfer. Enjoy the benefits of both sports!

Schedule Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday

Grades 2-4 Grades 5-8

8:00-9:30am-Ice Time 9:45-11:15am-Ice Time

* Players will work on skating, stick handling, and scoring skills.

9:45-10:00am Bus to Course 11:30-11:45am Bus to Course

*Athletes will bus from the Braemar to the Glen Lake Course. A healthy snack will be provided on the bus.

10:15am-12:00pm Golf Skill Development 12:00-1:30pm Golf Skill Development

*Athletes will be divided into three different groups. The golfers will be working on their swing, short game, and putting. Golf skill development days are on Monday and Thursday.

12:00pm-Pick up athletes 1:30pm Pick up athletes

*Parents will pick up players at the Glen Lake Golf Course

*Wednesday and Friday at the Glen Lake Golf Course players will play a round of golf!

4 on 4 Spring League (for all ages)

Spring 4on4 is a great way to continue playing hockey throughout March and April. 4on4 games are a lot of fun and improve hockey skills. Full-ice games allow for more open ice giving each player more opportunites to skate, stick handle, give and receive passes, and score goals. Players can sign up as individuals, small group of friends, or as an entire team. 4on4 has levels for Mini-Mites, Mites, Squirts, PeeWees, Bantam/High School players. All games are conveniently played at the Victoria Fieldhouse.

Power Skating for K-2nd Graders

For K-2nd Graders looking to improve their skating ability. Skating Edgework and Overspeed Skating drills will elevate each players ability to skate with more speed. Players will improve Quick Starts, Forward and Backward Crossovers, Power Turns and Pivots. Pucks will be added as players improve.

Power Skating for 3rd-5th Graders

This camp is for 3rd-5th grade players looking to improve their skating speed. Players will also be challenged to skate at high speeds and change directions. As the players progress, pucks will be added so that players learn to control the puck at high speeds.

Elite Summer Small Group Camp

This camp is designed for players looking to make significant improvement in their individual hockey skills. Intense on-ice and off-ice sessions will elevate each player’s skill level. 7 weeks of consistent training will guarantee that hockey skills will be developed. Summer Hockey School K-2 (Minnetonka)

A Great On ice Experience for All Players Breakaway Hockey is designed to allow the athlete to strengthen their skating abilities. Emphasis is put on skating technique and other hockey skills. Agility games also provide a fun learning environment. On ice programs are designed to be hockey specific training. We have created a fun and enjoyable program which is at the same time a strong learning environment.

Summer Hockey School K-2 (Chaska)

This camp is designed to improve each players skating and stick skills. Each player will see improvement in their fundamental hockey skills. Including: forwards and backwards crossovers, shooting (forehand and backhand), stick handling, and skating faster with the puck. Small area games and agility games also provide players with competition in a fun environment.

A Great One-ice/Off Experience for All Players
On ice training will focus on SCORING GOALS and STICK HANDLING!
Breakaway Hockey is designed to allow the athlete to strengthen their skating abilities. Emphasis is put on skating technique and other hockey skills. The athletes will also spend 3 hours a week playing a variety of games on the CCC turf. We have created a fun and enjoyable program which is at the same time a strong learning environment.
